pregnancy brain changes

I feel consumed...Am I neurotic?
I am 6 months pregnant and will be a single parent. I feel like I am consumed with my child. If I talk to a friend, I seem to always talk about my pregnancy or the things that have been going on with my body and the changes taking place.
I dont want my friends to think that thats all I talk about, but at the same time, thats what is on my brain.
Is this normal or am i obsessed? Do other first time expectant mothers do the same thing?
Note: I was told for 20 years I would never be a mommy due to reproductive problems, so this is a true miracle for me to have this happen.
Well, you are a mommy-in-the-making so this is a HUGE news! When I was pregnant (a year ago) that's all I talked about. I didn't care if my friends got fed up because this was something big that was happening in my life. Seriously, I was sick obsessed. I complained about getting fat, about being hungry all the time, etc. But I also took the time to rub my belly and talk to my son. Sounds silly, but it got me so connected with this new experience. Don't feel sorry for becoming a single mother. My mom raised me all by herself. She worked 2 jobs to support me and my brother.......it wasn't quantity of time, but quality. We were very poor, but we were rich in love. She was a disciplinarian, but that's the reason why I'm not a criminal today. My mother is my inspiration, she was a strong woman who took care of 2 terrible kids that turned out pretty good.
Be obsessed! Celebrate your pregnancy, complain, cry to to others, talk about it! This is the time to be selfish and take care of yourself! Still, listen to your friends. Real friends will understand your needs and will listen to you.
