interpret the Christmas-new years holiday in from the Indiana parenting guidelines?
Christmas and New Years Indiana guidelines state. Christmas Vacation- One-half of the period which will begin at 8 P.M. on the evening child is released from school and continues to Dec.30 at 7 P.M. If parents cannot agree with the division of this period, the custodial parent shall have the first half in even-numbered years.IN those years when Christmas does not fall in a parent's week, that parent shall have the child from Noon to 9 Christmas Day. The winter vacation period shall be determined by the custodial parent's school district. Under New Year's Eve and New Years Day- (The date of the new year will determine odd of even year). From Dec.30th at 7 P.M. to 7 P.M. of the evening the before school begins.In years ending with an even number the non-custodial parent shall exercise the above. Is half the period from the evening the child gets out of school til Dec.30.and the second half from Dec.30 on? Do you look at this as on odd year through the entire school break?
Even years custodial parent gets first half of break ending on the evening of Dec. 30th. Odd years noncustodial parents get child first half of break. This is an even year according to above.
It is just easier to talk with the other person and try to work out some kind of compromise.
